SYNOPSIS
The oldest generation of Quechua speakers of Andean origin survives the changes of contemporary society with their cultural practices. Their knowledge has a spiritual dimension that establishes a dialogue with Pachamama through daily rituals, as a way of expressing gratitude for their work in agriculture, food, and the way they care for traditions and family memories.
They represent the persistence of Andean culture despite racism and colonial heritage, preserving their cultural practices and spirituality.
Young people in Andean communities, although they have learned to live with modernity, face a reality that forces them to abandon the cultural practices with which they grew up to assimilate into a society where their relationship with nature is fading in favor of a development that seems to leave no room for coexistence between diverse cultures.
